I gambled on an unproven brand after seeing a random fishing video where the fisherman mentioned KastKing and appeared to enjoy it despite having some expensive equipment on hand. I was not let down. Even though it’s a “cheap” reel, I now understand why they enjoyed it.
It feels fantastic, but I haven’t worn it long enough to judge its longevity. It is lightweight and operates really smoothly. Everything seems sturdy, and switching between right and left hands is simple (nice touch since most stuff is set up for right handers).
